The Big Bad Musical In Rehearsals

We have had a busy couple weeks here at Beale Street Theater preparing for The Big Bad Musical! Starting with auditions and callbacks- we had over 90 auditionees, each incredibly talented, from ages 7-18 who joined us for our first two days of auditions that took place April 10-11th.

We invited over 40 of those auditionees to join us for callbacks, where we gave them the opportunity to share more of their acting and singing skills to the casting teams for both Crew Red and Crew Purple.

After days of deliberation the cast lists were officially posted! These decisions are always tough, especially with all of the incredible young talent in our Kingman community! We hope those who didn’t make the cast this time join us later this year for Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer auditions. To see the full cast list visit the link here.

Soon after announcing the cast we hosted our first read through with both cast red and cast purple. We are so excited to share more about this fantastic group of young performers in the coming weeks!

Each cast consists of eighteen actors filling in for roles such as The Fairy Godmother, The Big Bad Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood, Evil Stepmother, The Three Little Pigs, and more!

Each cast also has a dedicated staff of student volunteers working with Director Sidney Valdez and Assistant Director Willow DeHerrera on developing the show. Cast Red has dedicated Student Director Adam Michelson working with Stage Manager Joseph Orozco and Assistant Stage Manager Ava Greene. Cast Purple has dedicated Student Director June Stehly working with Stage Manager Katie Burkes and Assistant Stage Manager Chris Wright.
