This Spring’s Show, The Complete Works of Shakespeare: Abridged already has a great cast and directing crew, but Beale Street Theater NEEDS A TECHNICAL CREW!!
This show has many costume and prop changes, and the cast cannot do it alone! Between wigs, skirts, blow up dinosaurs, puppets, and bathtub boats, the cast has a lot on their hands.
This is where YOU come in!! If you have been curious about our theater and what it takes to put on a show, especially one as crazy as this, then take this time to step in!
We need Techies that will be quick on their feet and excited to help. Actors will need extra assistance with costume changes and prop handling, as they will be above the ground and should avoid having to travel the stairs, for safety precautions.
Want to help but not sure if you’ve got what it takes? First of all, of course you have what it takes! Beale Street Theater loves new faces and educating people on and off stage. All you have to do is email [email protected] and tell us that you want to be a part of the Shakespeare: Abridged Technical Crew! We would love to have you join us for a crazy fun—and crazy-crazy—show!
Show dates are March 14th & 21st. We hope to have you join this wild group for a whole lot of fun you’ll never forget!
In addition to a Technical Crew, Beale Street Theater is looking for the following props:
- Airline Oxygen Mask
- 2 Fencing Foils
- 4 Plastic Bathtub Boats
- Rubber Snake
- Small-Medium Inflatable Dinosaur
- Metal or Wooden Goblet

If you have any of these items and are willing to let Beale Street Theater use them, please contact [email protected] and we greatly appreciate it!
